OUR FOUNDERS
During their sophomore year at Chaminade High School (Mineola, NY), Luke Sacco-Sanchez, Jack Rutkowski, and Ron Renda, embarked on an extraordinary journey to make a difference in the lives of shelter animals. Fueled by their shared compassion and determination, they founded a non-profit organization aimed at easing the needs of local animal shelters. Their ingenious idea involved collecting used pool towels from camps and pools, repurposing these overlooked resources to provide comfort and care to animals awaiting adoption.
Through their dedication and hard work, they not only demonstrated the power of youth-driven initiatives but also showcased the transformative impact of collective action and empathy. Together, Luke, Jack, and Ron exemplified the true spirit of humanity, leaving a mark of compassion on their community and beyond.
OUR CHAPTERS
Thanks to the compassion and dedication of fellow high school students, we are thrilled to announce the expansion of our non-profit organization into New Jersey and Florida, marking a significant milestone in our journey.
Aydan Barry (Bishop Moore Catholic High School) and Grayson Birajiclian (Regis High School) have established chapters in Florida and New Jersey respectively. Through unwavering support and commitment of these passionate individuals, we have officially extended our reach and impact nationwide. This remarkable achievement not only underscores the power of collective action but also reaffirms our shared commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of animals and the environment.
We are immensely grateful for the enthusiasm and support of Aydan and Grayson, whose generosity and compassion have helped us turn our vision of a national presence into a reality. Together, we are excited to continue our mission of providing vital assistance to animal shelters and fostering a more compassionate world for all beings.
OUR MISSION
Recycle to Rescue's mission is to bridge compassion with sustainability by repurposing pool towels, linens, and blankets from local organizations and residents to provide comfort and care to animals in need. We are dedicated to fostering a community-driven approach to animal welfare, promoting environmental responsibility, and creating a meaningful impact on the lives of sheltered animals. We strive to cultivate a culture of empathy, resourcefulness, and sustainability, by promising that every donated item finds a new purpose in providing warmth, comfort, and dignity to animals awaiting their forever homes.
